Shober's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup shortening (or softened margarine)
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 pkg chocolate chips

Preheat oven 350

Mix shortening and sugars until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, mix in well. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and soda. stir into creamed mixture. Add chips and stir again.

Bake 10-12 minutes
